Job Description

System One has an exciting Sr. SAP Software Engineer opportunity with a partner in the Columbus, OH. area.  This position will be responsible for  providing application support for an SAP ECC R3 environment consisting of AP, AR, FI, CoPa, MM, PO & Monitor, configure, and improve integration with SAP . This position is a contract-to-hire opportunity requiring in-person, on-site work during normal business hours in the Columbus, OH office .    

Successful candidates must be able to provide proof of ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. This position is not open to corp-to-corp, subcontractor or independent consulting arrangements.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and identifying improvements by planning, implementing, and monitoring software framework solutions.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties are essential to the successful and satisfactory performance of this job. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Identify and develop product specification, system design, development, and system integration for new and existing software applications
  • Provide application support for a SAP ECC R3 environment consisting of AP, AR, FI, CoPa, MM, PO
  • Collaborate with cross-functional areas on products and programs that will contribute to the client's strategic direction, development, and future growth
  • Monitor, configure, and improve integration with SAP
  • Enter and track time, tasks using Azure Development Ops
  • Participate in all SCRUM ceremonies 
  • Consult with users on problem determination and provide root cause analysis in a timely manner
  • Provide 24x7 on-call support, after-hours, and weekend work as needed
  • Ability to mentor other team members, providing feedback and guidance when needed
  • Accountable and responsible for the accuracy and completeness of assigned work and results
  • Prioritize and manage workload and communicate issues clearly
  • Complete other tasks as required
  • Travel when required
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent industry experience
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE :
  • 10+ years of experience in SAP software development and support
