Telework Information: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week.

Effective July 1, 2025, The California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025). The Technology Business Management Division (TBMD) at the California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) is seeking a skilled and motivated Information Technology Associate (ITA), Junior Data Administration Analyst who is eager to learn, likes working with data, has experience with Structured Query Language (SQL), Python, and wants to make a real impact.
The Junior Data Administration Analyst responsibilities will be focused on supporting data quality, data governance, and data analysis, under the guidance of senior team members. In this role, you will support data governance by applying data standards, policies, and best practices. You will assist with proactively identifying potential data quality issues. You will assist in documenting data processes, workflows, and any data-related issues for reference and continuity. In addition, you will partner with various teams to support data-related projects and attend various meetings to understand data workflows and contribute to discussions on data improvement. This role requires attention to detail, experience with SQL, Python, excellent customer service skills, and a desire to grow your data skills and learn from senior team members.

Working Conditions
- This position is designated as office-centered and works primarily onsite at the Sacramento, CA -Headquarters at least three weekdays.
- Workstation is located in a standard multi-level office building accessible by stairs and elevator, with artificial light, height-adjustable desk, and adjustable office chair.
- Prolonged reading and typing on a laptop or keyboard and monitor.
